Syntjuntan is an ensemble comprised of female composers, musicians, and instrument makers. Our goal is to meet women’s curiosity about tech and electronics, to encourage them to build their own instruments, and to ease their own experiemntation in other ways. Syntjuntan wants to contribute to better self-confidence for women, so that they can make the necessary space for themselves to realize their ideas, develop their music, and meet audiences. In Syntjuntan you build your own synthesiser, getting past any possible fear of technique in the process. One can get to know experiemental art music through listening to and speaking about, or perhaps even by performing, a new work for for an audience.
